Psycho Goblin

About Psycho Goblin
Psycho Goblin is a 3D action roguelite from developer maxarage in which you play a goblin inventor who refuses firearms and fights with self-built explosives. Before each run you pick one of four goblins — BOMBER with grenades, ENGINEER with turret batteries, SAPPER with mines, or TRICKSTER with wind-up decoys. Level-ups let you fill your upgrade slots, and the main draw is fusing two parts into one stronger device: a Mine plus a Magnet becomes a Black Hole, while a Turret plus a Grenade gives you a turret that lobs your grenades. Every minute the monsters scale up, so each run is a race to see how long you last. This is a free playtest build, and the developer is upfront that the graphics are placeholder packs while the gameplay gets tested. Feedback is welcome, especially whether you started a second run on your own, which build you liked most, and where the game confused you. Controls: WASD to move, LMB to throw your weapon at the cursor, RMB or Q for your second tool, 1/2/3 to pick a card, R to play again, Esc to pause for auto-fire, volume and quit, F for FPS, M for music, T for run stats. On first launch the game asks once whether it may send anonymous run data — run time, cause of death, card picks and FPS, tied to a random install code, with no name, email or account — and you can say no. Built in Unity.
